Countdown to completion! Yinshanhu Overpass, the biggest interchange project in Suzhou, is expected to open to traffic in the latter half of the year.
Yinshanhu Overpass, locating in Guoxiang Residential District, connects the East Ring Expressway and Nanhu Elevated Road. In addition, the overpass connects South Ring Expressway and leads to Gusu District northwards, to Wujiang District southwards and to SIP eastwards. Drive through Nanhu Elevated Road to the west, you can reach Youxin Expressway. There will be ramps in the northeast part of the overpass that connects the Wuzhong Exit of Suzhou-Jiaxing-Hangzhou Highway.
Yinshanhu Overpass has 5 interchanges and 14 ramps in total. The main line has two-way six lanes and the speed limit is 80km/h; the ramp is 7.5 meters in width and the speed limit is 40km/h. After opening to traffic, the overpass will deepen the connection between Wuzhong District and SIP, Wujiang District and Gusu District.
The roadway and crash barriers are currently under construction; 4 ramps have been asphalt-surfaced.
